Oh Chris and Claire!! I wouldn’t wish what you had to deal with in planning your wedding on anyone. What a rollercoaster for you guys from having to change your wedding date, to changing your venue 2 weeks before the wedding, and having to make a last minute decision to have your ceremony outside the church, only to have it rain. I’m not sure what else could have been thrown at you but you persisted and rolled with the punches. It turned out to be an absolutely beautiful day!
The ceremony was held in Amherst and the beautiful Francher Church. Chris and Claire had dreamed of having their wedding in this church but due to mask mandates and social distancing, the ceremony had to be held outside. The rain persisted for about 30 min before the ceremony was suppose to start, making everyone very nervous. It stopped right as the ceremony was suppose to start so we only ran about 5 mins behind, what a blessing! Also- they say it’s good luck if it rains on your wedding day! Father mentioned during the ceremony, that as long as he stayed on the steps of the church, it’s still considered a catholic ceremony. hooray!! Since it was held outside, my photographer heart was happy because the light was so stunning and beautiful!!!
We then ventured up to Bukolt Park in Stevens Point, Wisconsin for some just married and bridal party portraits. We made our way to downtown Stevens Point to capture some pictures on the square ince both Chris and Claire are UWSP alumni and their first date was at Buffy’s Bar on the square, how cute! As we were finishing up pictures on the square, the farmer’s market was finishing up. The sweetest couple from a fresh produce stand handed Chris and Claire 2 beautiful fresh bouquets of flowers congratulating them on their marriage, how adorable!! sweetest thing ever. We were able to get the bouquets to the reception and set them up at the card table for all the guests to see. I just love people do nice things ‘just because’.
The reception was as Memories Ballroom in Plover, Wisconsin. The food was amazing, the decorations were beautiful, and everyone danced the night away. What a blast! Congrats again Chris and Claire and enjoy this sneak peek of your wedding photos. Thanks so much for allowing me to be a part of your special day! You’re FINALLY married!!!!
