It was cold and blustery and an absolute blizzard for most of the wedding day, but Brad and Nicole and their amazing wedding party didn’t let it stop them!!! They adapted and had the most fun filled and beautiful wedding day!!
With the nature of Brad’s business (custom ag services and farming), Brad and Nicole decided to have their wedding at the end of March to avoid the busy season. The thought was that the weather would be mild and hopefully spring like, but that wasn’t the case. There was a huge blizzard predicted to start in the town they were getting married in at around 4 am the day of the wedding. I decided to drive into town the night before so I didn’t have to fight the storm in the morning. I’m so glad I made that decision because when I opened my hotel shades on the morning of the wedding, all I saw was WHITE! The highway was covered in snow and it was still coming down. I will tell you a spoiler alert though, it made for beautiful pictures, even though we were all freezing!
Brad and Nicole shared their first look inside the church with their absolutely adorable and sweet baby boy. You’ll see so many pictures of him through this blog post, he is just perfect. I can’t believe how much he grew and changed just in the time between their engagement session last December and March. He smiled at all the right times during the wedding day to give Nicole photos to cherish for a lifetime. They then got married in front of family and friends that braved the weather before heading to a family’s property nearby for outdoor portraits. I am seriously SO impressed with how Nicole and her bridesmaids handled taking photos in the blizzard, but I am also so grateful for it! #worthit for the snowy pictures!!
After photos, the party kept going at the reception where they danced the night away with 600+ family and friends by their side! I absolutely loved this wedding and this couple. Cowboy boots, gorgeous florals, a John Deere sprayer, a fun bridal party, and a bride that trusts my ideas makes for a perfect wedding in my opinion. Oh did I mention the sun came out at the reception so we snagged some last minute sunset portraits before the grand entrance? what a dream! I could go on and on about this wedding and this couple but I’ll end here and let you get to the gorgeous images! Thank you so much Brand and Nicole for trusting me to capture this important day in your lives, I’m forever grateful! See some of my favorite images below.
