What a gorgeous but cold and windy winter day we had for Sam + Emily’s January Winter Wedding! It’s exactly what she wanted, and I’m so so happy her dreams came true of having a winter snowy wedding day. This winter has been a bit different, normally, having snow in January in Wisconsin is a given for sure! But we got snow later than normal this year, I kept texting my aunt to see if there was snow by them leading up to the wedding day because I knew that’s what Emily was dreaming of. SO thrilled we ended up getting snow and were able to get some beautiful pictures showcasing their winter wedding day.

The folks in the bridal party were such troopers because it was COLD and windy out there! Also Sam + Emily were incredibly trusting of me also and giving me lots of time for outdoor portraits, despite the freezing temps. I’m thrilled with the pictures, so thank you to all for braving the cold!!

It was just an amazing day all around, Emily is my cousin so this wedding was extra special. Sam has always been part of the family for as long as I can remember, and this day made it “official”! Knowing so many friends and family at this wedding was so much fun for me, this is my first time actually photographing a family members wedding in 9 years of doing wedding photography. I’m still so honored and humbled to be chosen to do this job for anyone who allows me to.

I have to mention Sam + Emilys’ little boy, Jordan. He stole the show for cutest part of the wedding party for sure! He had a long day but was such a trooper. I could gush forever about how much I loved doing this wedding, how much I love everyone that was there, and how honored I am to have the privilege of photographing such a special day, but I’ll leave it at that and let you look at some of my favorites from the day.
