An international wedding, in the Carribbean on the coast of Jamaica, in January. Talk about a Wisconsin girl’s dream!! In all seriousness, Nick + Alisha got married in Jamaica last week and they flew me all the way there with them to capture the most important day of their lives, and I couldn’t be more honored. I am officially an international wedding photographer and I’m already ready for the next adventure someone wants to take me on because this wedding was just so incredible.
The wedding day started with separate groom and bridal details and both Nick and Alisha were SO chill with no nerves and just ready to marry one another. I love how laid back everyone was and how we could all just enjoy the day with no rushed timeline, I dream of this for EVERY wedding day!! Although after seeing Nick + Alisha together at their engagement session, I knew they would be an amazing low stress couple!
Once everyone was ready, Nick and Alisha shared their vows on the beautiful Las Brisas Beach in the sand in front of 30 of their closest friends and family and it was absolutely beautiful, as you’re about to see. We then got to take beautiful portraits all around the resort and I was in absolute photographer heaven. There was nowhere I turned that wasn’t beautiful. These two have SO many portraits and I love that they let me take so many! Finally they celebrated with friends and family at their reception at the Blue Lagoon which was a beautiful outdoor reception area that overlooked the ocean and a beautiful sunset.
It truly was the best day with gorgeous weather. I think I can still feel the sand between my toes, hear the waves gently hitting the shoreline, see the beautiful palm trees, and smell that sweet ocean breeze. Thank you so much again Nick + Alisha for allowing me this incredible opportunity to capture your special day, it was such an honor. You and ALL of your guests were so accommodating and sweet and for that I’m forever grateful. Wishing you many many years of love and happiness. Enjoy some of my favorites from the day.
