Logan + Carolyns’ intimate wedding in front of their closest family and friends overlooking the Lake of The Clouds in the gorgeous Porcupine Mountains in Michigan was possibly the most unique wedding I’ve ever had the chance to be a part of and I absolutely LOVED it!! Give me alllll the intimate destination weddings with epic portrait locations please!!
Their day started by getting ready and shooting details at a hotel that was right on Lake Superior. We then traveled up into the gorgeous Porcupine Mountains to the Lake of The Clouds overlook where their ceremony took place. It was such a beautiful ceremony with so much love between then as Carolyn and Logan shared their custom vows. All three of their adorable pups were also a part of the ceremony. Then, the portraits!!!! My goodness. I could have shot portraits of them for hours, I swear. We did some at their ceremony location then headed up the trail doing some hiking to the most epic spot with absolutely incredible views. And what a champ Carolyn was for hiking to this spot in her wedding attire!!
We then traveled back into Wisconsin for an intimate outdoor reception where they served burgers and a fish fry, followed by cookies and ice cream…. what an absolute Wisconsin dream! Not to mention, my photographer heart was bursting in happiness being able to photograph a natural light reception outside!! Our weather was perfect, and all the speeches were so heartfelt. It was evident that so many people really care about Logan and Carolyn and vice versa. Thank you two SO MUCH for allowing me to be a part of this absolutely perfect day and blessings for a long happy marriage.
